Advertising Value Equivalent (AVE) -
Online: (Monthly Visitors/1000) * ViewRate * CPM
Print: Based on the size of the article and full page advertising rate.
Analytics - This module allows the breakdown of coverage by specific sets of charts. Click HERE for a full guide.
Asset Library - Available from the Cog wheel in the top right corner of the platform, this area is used to save your assets, images, documents etc which are then available to download by other users or can be added as links when creating a press releases. Click HERE for a full guide.
Audience Type - This searching filter in the Contacts module allows the user to filter results by the focus of the media type, for example Consumer or Trade.
Biography - Information gathered by our research team.
Briefcase - The briefcase works a little like a shopping basket. Whatever you select and is sitting in your briefcase, will be affected by the next function you select.
Broadcast Audience - Using totals of unique users watching at least 15 minutes per week.
Canvas - A module in the platform allowing the user to create bespoke walls, or bulletin boards to share numerous content in one area. This can be populated with graphs, stats, news articles, manually written documents and videos and other online content from Twitter, Instagram etc using links. Click HERE for a full guide.
Categories - Your categories are global across your system, so you’ll see the same list of categories when logging a media enquiry, a subject or sending out a press release. Your categories are likely to be pillars that won’t move or change very often so they could be different campuses as you mentioned, different schools/faculties etc.
Choose Columns - Where you see this option or the horizontal lines within a grid, this allows you to choose columns of data to appear. This also affects what you can download to excel. E.g. if the column is selected and showing, it will download to excel in the order as it is on the page.
City Location - Allows the user to search using a specific city location. This is using the address of the outlet.
Communicate - This is the area where you will find all communications modules.
Contact - An individual / influencer / journalist / MP / Stakeholder.
Contacts - In this module you will have the ability to search for individuals. All guides can be found HERE.
Country - A filter depicting the country of origin. If you have more than just the UK subscription this will come in handy.
Create Outlet List - This option in the Monitoring module allows you to create a group of outlets from which your coverage was featured. This then allows you to create relationships with those outlets through further communication.
Deadline Date - Used in several modules including filtering Features and also allowing you to log when communications are to be dealt with.
Distributions - This is the module where you can create Press releases. Send emails "en masse". Click HERE for a full guide.
DNS - Your DNS Settings provide Vuelio with permission to send email on behalf of your organisation. This also removes the ‘sent via Vuelio’ which appears in the header of emails. Click HERE for a full guide on DNS settings.
Edit Search - This feature allows you to make changes to an already saved search. To use this, you will need to select a search first. Then click this option. It will allow you to update or delete the currently selected search.
Email Alerts - This feature allows you to receive emails based on coverage which has been received, which is pertinent to your organisations brief. Click the below for a guide in the appropriate module:

Enquiry - This is a communications log which all users of your organisation will be able to view edit and report on in the future. Click HERE for a full guide.
Exclude From List - This is found in the Monitoring module and is effectively the Delete button. Please make sure you only have items selected (in your briefcase) that you wish to delete. Click the Bin icon to clear your briefcase.
Features - This module allows you to search for opportunities to pitch to certain publications. These Editorial Calendars will help to build relationships with publications. Click HERE for a full guide.
Features Groups - This is where you can see your saved Features. Click HERE for a full guide.
Focus - This filter in the Database allows the user to define by the Media types' area of focus, e.g. Regional, National and International. This is especially useful when searching for Regional outlets. Click HERE for a full guide.
Forward News / Forward - This allows you to send an ad-hoc news alert to the contact/contacts of your choice. This option appears in Media Monitoring aswell as Political Monitoring. Click HERE for a full guide.
Generate Labels - This option allows the download of address information for the contacts selected. This refers to Political contacts.
Global Category - This option acts as a filter in several areas of the platform and also allows you to associate an item e.g. Interaction, press release etc to a particular topic.
Groups - These are otherwise known as Lists. Also the module where you can find all previously saved groups. A guide can be found HERE.
Group Type - Creating group types allow you to map your contact groups. Click HERE for a full guide.
Institution - This refers to the Parliamentary body/organisation.
Interactions - This type of communication is more for Political Affairs and Stakeholder teams, allowing you to ad multiple contacts to communications. Click HERE for a full guide.
Interests - This is a filterable part of the profile which is either Professional or Recreational.
Issues - This module is sometimes known as Subjects. See "Subjects".
Keywords - Keywords are the terms that we use to search the various news sources to feed content into the platform. These can be added to/amended by [email protected].
KRED Ranking - Kred measures Influence by assessing how frequently the outlet is Retweeted, Replied, Mentioned and Followed on Twitter. If you connect your Facebook account to your Kred profile, you get Influence points when people interact with your content on your wall and the walls of others who have registered their Facebook account with Kred. Facebook interactions counted towards your Kred include Posts, Mentions, Likes, Shares and Event Invitations.
Label Generation - This option allows the download of address information for the contacts selected. This refers to Media Contacts
Language - Contacts may speak numerous languages in the Database, therefore this filter allows the user to filter using this.
Link to Issue - This option, found in the Monitoring and Enquiry modules, this option allows you to link items selected to an Issue previously created. Click HERE for a guide on Issues/Subjects.
Link to Release - This option, found in the Monitoring and Enquiry modules, this option allows you to link items selected to a Press Release previously created. Click HERE for a guide on Releases/Press Distribution.
Media Type - This confirms the type of publication of the outlet or the type of outlet the journalist is a part of.

MOZ Rank - Moz Rank is a metric that measures the popularity and authority of a website based on the quality and quantity of its backlinks. It is calculated on a logarithmic scale from 0 to 10, with higher scores indicating higher authority. Moz Rank is one of the SEO metrics that Moz provides along with Domain Authority, Page Authority, and Spam Score.

MS - Member of the Senedd - Wales
MSP - Member of the Scottish Parliament - Scotland
News Archive - This is a new module of Vuelio which allows the search of historical articles. Click HERE for a full guide.
Outlet - Publication / Newspaper / Online Publication / Blog etc. all classed as outlets. Stakeholder company names may also be added to the platform as Outlets.
Outlet Circulation - This filter allows the user to filter results by Circulation figures of Print, Online and Broadcast outlets.
Outlets - This is the module where you can look up Publications from all media types. All guides can be found HERE.
Party - Refers to the Parliamentary Party.
Position - This is a Database search filter, allowing you to filter by the contact's Job Title.
Preview Report - Contrary to it's name, this function allows you to create a PDF of the links from the coverage selected.
Private Contact Results Only - This is a filter found in the contacts database and allows the user to see only contacts created and added to the platform by their own organisation.
Profiles - The Profiles area is where you will find all Database modules. A guide can be found HERE.
Prominence - Prominence can be presented in charts by selecting and using Tags. Prominence scores are assigned to each article based on data gathered; including the number of mentions, placement of the mentions (headline, etc.), size of the article and exclusivity.
Quicksearch - A look up of the Database in order to view Individual / Outlet profiles. A guide can be found HERE.
Rank - Available in the News Archive module (click HERE for a full guide). It is used to filter content by sets of types of publications:
Rank 1. Top International, National & Business News Sources.
Rank 2. Top Regional Sources.
Rank 3. Broad range of News Sources of good editorial quality.
Rank 4. Broad range of news sources, newswire sources & sources with a local focus.
Reach - Reach is the number of people who could have seen your piece of coverage.
For online coverage, our figures come from SimilarWeb, who are an industry leading analytics provider. We use the monthly visitors figure they provide (which can also be switched to daily visitors) for our online coverage, so the total number of views the site gets a month.
For print monitoring, circulation comes from ABC, who are the industry body for print circulations, so figures for print coverage are coming directly from the source.
Likewise for broadcast monitoring, figures come from RAJAR and BARB, who are the industry bodies for radio and TV audiences respectively..

Relationship - A filter in the contacts Database which allows users to rank contacts using a simple traffic light system and then enable you to locate them from the Database searching filters.
E.g.
Green: Favourite contact
Amber: An ok contact
Red: Contact unusable or unhelpful
Releases - This is the older version of the Press release function. Speak to your Account Manager to migrate across to our newer version.
Reports - This Political option allows you to navigate to the Analytics Charts based on Political data. Click HERE for a guide.
Save to Group - Allows you to add the selected journalists to a list.
Saved Search - This function allows you to save search parameters/filters so you may use them in the future. Click HERE for a guide.
Search Profiles - This filter allows a search of contact profiles.
Search Recent Articles - Allows the filtering of journalists based on what they have written in the past. A guide can be found HERE.
Sentiment - This is essentially the tone of an article. It is initially decided using language recognition, which looks at the article as a whole and applies sentiment automatically. This can also be manually changed. Click HERE for a guide.
Show Wordcloud - This option allows you to see the range of words which are used in the articles selected.
Social Media - Contacts on the Vuelio platform sometimes provide us with their social media pages, therefore this filter in the Contacts section of the Database module allows you to find journalists based on if we have this information.
Subjects - This module allows you to link several types of communications all into one place (e.g. media coverage, enquiries, releases you’ve sent, lines to take etc) to your subject/Issue to create a dossier of all the data you’ve got on that topic. Click HERE for a full guide.
Tags - These are used as additional filtering options in most modules, either manually or automatically. Specifically with the Monitoring module, Tags are created either by the support team or by the user. These allow boolean to identify certain combinations of keywords and/or phrases to allow coverage to be filtered. A guide can be found HERE.
Tag Groups - Also used as filtering options, these contain numerous Tags.
Target Area - This filter allows specific search of outlets who cover a specific geographical area. This is a great metric to use when creating a Group of Regional Outlets, click HERE for a guide.
Target Outlet List - Target Outlet Lists provide the ability in the Monitoring Module to find coverage from specific media outlets. They are first created in the Database Module, then used in Monitoring filters. Click HERE for a full guide.
Team - This dropdown allows the item created to be associated with a certain team in your organisation. If required you may have several teams using Vuelio for different reasons. This option enables you to locate items e.g. Interactions, Coverage etc associated with a specific team.
Templates - Templates are used in 2 places on the Vuelio platform:
Distribution Templates: These allow you to quick add parts of your en masse emails aswell as keeping default logo's and boiler plates. You can contact [email protected] to enquire further.
Alert Templates: Check out our guide HERE which shows you all the templates you can choose when forwarding coverage or setting up your alerts.
Topic - A filter providing an extensive list of overarching and sub topics which contacts / outlets have confirmed they are working on.
Twitter - As well as being a media type, the module of the same name allows you to search for contacts by their mentions on Twitter using keywords and phrases. Click HERE for a full guide.
Type (Enquries Module) - This is a dropdown you can select from when logging an enquiry with the type of interaction it is e.g. media enquiry, stakeholder enquiry, interview request.
Type (Subjects/Issues Module) - This is a dropdown you can select from when logging a subject/issue e.g. an incident, a campaign, something internal etc.
Unavailable Contacts -
Unsubscribed: Contacts who have unsubscribed from your distributions.
GDPR Forgotten: These are contacts who have requested to have all their data removed from the platform.
Hide Unavailable: This will hide those who have unsubscribed AND those who have been marked as GDPR Forgotten from your results.
Update - This is an option in the Political Monitoring module. This allows you to:

Vuelio Score/Rating - Out of 100. This is a Vuelio "home-brewed" metric which confirms how engaging the contact / outlet is. It takes into account engagement on social media, media type they are attached to and their SEO score.
