Saved searches allow the user to pre-set filters in the platform. At the click of just a few buttons allows you to look up the most recent content for the search selected.
โ€‹

To create a new saved search, firstly use the filters as you usually would to locate content. Once this has been done, select the "Save as" button on the top right of the screen (seen in the screenshot below.

Once the search has been saved, you can use the dropdown menu to select pre-saved filters. You may initially see some of these already created by our research team and are pertinent to your requirements.

Select a Saved Search from the list and click Search to view the content.

Once you have created a saved search, you may also use the same filters you chose to receive an alert, hourly, daily or weekly.

Creating Email Alerts

From the Political Monitoring dashboard, select "Email Alerts" from the options bar.

From here you can click into a previously made alert to edit it (which opens up the exact same options as creating a new alert, so the following will apply). For now, just click +Alert to create a new one.

The Main Tab
โ€‹

Firstly weโ€™ll look at the fields on the left side of the screen:

  • Name your alert.

  • Select if you wish to include a contents page to the email.

  • Tick this box to allow you to group by e.g. Source or Tag name.

  • Make the system send a blank email even if there is NO new content since the last alert.

  • Deduplicate content with the same headline.

  • Here you can add users registered to your organisation to send the alert to.

  • Here you add adhoc contacts e.g. non Vuelio users to send the alert to.

Now for the right side of the screen:

  • Select the checkbox to make the alert LIVE.

  • Click the plus button to select the Saved Search you wish to base the alert on. This means you will receive all content obtained from the search parameters.

  • Select the frequency of how often and on which days you require the alert. Click the plus button to select specific times.

Once done, remember to click "Save" on the top right.

Advanced Alerts Options

The Customise Tab
โ€‹

This tab, once clicked will provide you with access to further options to customise and brand your alert.

Template: From this dropdown select either Default or Basic. The main difference between the two is that the Basic option does NOT have a coloured bar for each of the titles, for each section of the alert. The Basic also works better for those viewing on mobile phones.

Header Logo Url: This Url can be obtained from the image in your asset library.

For all of the following options, check the box to customise the colour:

  • Header Background

  • Main Title

  • Main Title Background

  • Sub Title

  • Sub Title Background

  • Article Headline

  • Text Highlight

The dropdown at the bottom of the box will allow you to change the colour coding in RGB, HSL or HEX formats. Then you can enter the numbers for the code accordingly:

On the top right you may test your Alert at any time, this allows for checking of your changes. Just remember to click SAVE first, otherwise you will loose those changes.
