A local regionalised Group can be very handy when needing to contact media in a certain geographical area.

When an individual is added to the Media Database our Research Team would assign all the relevant topics the individual writes about during their day to day. However, if a Journalist is assigned to a Regional Outlet, the chances are they will deal with a high variety of subjects. Therefore, instead of listing them all, the individual will be assigned to the "Regional News" subject only >

Therefore, due to the above it is easier to create a Group of Regional Outlets instead of individuals.

Firstly, navigate to the Outlets module to begin your search >

Your first filter to utilize will be "Target Area". This will allow you to type the area of focus and those media outlets distributing to that area will be populated on the right >

These initial results will include publications of all media types. Therefore, choose the following from the "Media Type" filter. Regional searches are often not used to target Magazines or those titles based Online >

Next, find the Focus filter under "Show More". You will need to filter those relevant Media Outlets down to Regional and Local >

You should then be left with a targeted list of Regional Media which you can then Save to a New or Existing Group >
