Adding private outlets to Vuelio allows you to include proprietary media targets that are visible exclusively to users within your organisation.
How to Add a Single Private Outlet
Navigate to the Outlets Module
From the main navigation menu, go to the Outlets module.
Open the Creation Form
In the upper action bar, click + Add Outlet.
Complete Core & Media Type Information
Fill in the profile details in the top section of the screen. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
Main Details (*): Input the Name & Profile Description, the mandatory information for the outlet.
Media Type: Select the format that best describes the outlet. Choosing the correct media type is essential for ensuring this private outlet appears accurately in database searches.
Focus: Define the primary geographical or thematic target focus of the outlet.
Category: Further classify the entry (e.g., Media Outlet or Political Stakeholder).
Complete Profile & Contact Details
Populate additional metadata at the bottom section of the screen to make the entry easily searchable across your team:
Topics: Assign one or more coverage topics relevant to the outlet.
Address: Provide the full physical or mailing address.
Phone, Email, Social Media: Add multiple contact points across relevant channels and platforms.
Website: Enter the outlet's primary URL.
Language: Search for and assign all languages used by the outlet.
Enter Feed URL (RSS): Add an RSS feed URL to display live feed content directly within the outlet's profile.
Pro Tip: Compiling complete and detailed outlet profiles ensures higher accuracy when filtering search results.
Visibility & Database Maintenance
Organisation Privacy: Private outlets are visible only to users in your account.
Maintenance Responsibilities: Because private entries are restricted to your account, the Vuelio Research Team does not automatically monitor or update them.
Requesting Public Additions: If you want an outlet added to the public global database—where it will be verified and continuously updated by Vuelio—contact the team at [email protected] or via Live Chat.
Viewing Private Outlets in Search
To restrict search results exclusively to your organization’s custom entries:
Open the Outlets module search panel.
In the filter criteria, select Private Outlet Results Only.
