Group types are a way of mapping and organising the Groups/lists you have created in the Political Database.

Currently, you will find that Group Types are currently used in the platform in the Groups Module. This allows the sorting and mapping of your lists.

In the image below, these are some ready made lists in the Groups module, and you can see these have been sorted into different types of lists >

You can create your own Groups, by firstly navigating to the module >

Select "private groups only" to find the lists that your organisation has created >

You can now click into the Group you wish to add a Group Type to, and then select Details to add a new Group type or create a new one >

Use the "Add / Edit Group Types" button to either create a new Group or Edit the current list of Group types >

Once you have saved changes, these Group Types (you either created or that are currently available in the list) will be available to choose from with the dropdown >

Select one and click 'Save' on the top right hand side. In the main Groups module, you will now be able to locate sets of lists by using the Group Types >
