Initially your distributions should be sent to those contacts who best fit your press release. But what do you do after the initial Distribution has been sent?

Here’s how you can make the most of the Vuelio platform with some practical ideas for next steps:

Monitor Engagement and Performance

Follow Up Strategically

  • Offer interviews, exclusive angles, or additional material (e.g. images, case studies).

  • Reach out to high-interest contacts who opened or clicked your release:

If you wish to create a group from a Distribution recently sent, click into the Distribution from the module and select the Distributions Channels tab at the top >

Use the buttons in the Distributions Channels tab to create a group of those who have opened/not opened the distribution. You may also sort this list (click the title at top of the column) for those that clicked onto links within the Distribution >

Check for Media Coverage

Log and Analyse Media Responses

  • Note any journalist replies or coverage requests.

  • Use tags or notes to track how contacts respond over time.

Refine Your Media List

  • Remove unengaged or bounced contacts to improve future deliverability.

  • Add new contacts discovered through monitoring or journalist interactions.

Schedule a Debrief or Internal Report

  • Create a summary report for your team or clients, showcasing key results.

  • Include open/click stats, coverage highlights, and recommended improvements.

Plan Your Next Campaign

  • Use learnings from this release to inform your next communication.

  • Consider A/B testing subject lines, formats, or targeting strategies.

Update Your Contact Preferences

  • Adjust outreach frequency or content types based on recipient behaviour.

  • Consider segmenting your lists further for more targeted messaging.
