What’s happening?

We've been hard at working building a new Media Database based on your feedback. Our aim is to make the whole experience more intuitive, faster and bring new features that make a big difference to your use of the platform.

This is something we've been building for a long time and in partnership with many of our users. We've done months of beta testing to gather client feedback, and more recently began to use this experience as the default for new clients. We're now at the stage where we can begin rolling this out to our existing users as your core Media Database experience.

This will be a gradual rollout and you will be informed ahead of time when the switchover date will be.

What to expect?

We’ve redesigned the interface of the following parts of the Media Database:

  • Contacts

  • Outlets

  • Groups

  • Features

  • Feature Groups (new)

Taking on board your feedback, we've overhauled the experience to one that is built around modern standards of what you'd expect from a searchable database, with minimal clicks to get to what you need. On every page you'll be able to access tours through the messenger icon in the bottom right that show you how the page works:

Let's take a look at an overview of the new interface:

The key new updates and features are:

  • We've made the search filter much more in line with what you'd get on most websites

  • You can now preview a contact's profile information from the search screen (as shown above)

  • You can search for contacts based on what content they are publishing

  • It's far simpler to add contacts or outlets to groups

  • There's an 'overview' profile screen for contacts that shows your records stored against them across all of their positions

  • You can now save important forward features to their own 'feature groups' for future reference

  • Tons of smaller scale changes to make the whole experience more intuitive

We're really excited to bring you these changes as it means a major improvement to your Vuelio experience.

FAQs

Will I lose my data?

Your data, such as your groups, saved searches, notes, records etc will all be preserved. One small change is that you will no longer be able to add attachments to contact or outlet profiles and won't be able to access ones with any historic attachments here.

Will there be any downtime?

No, on the day of the upgrade you will simply log in and the new Media Database will be waiting for you, along with some in-app welcome / training messages.

What about modules other than the Media Database?

These won't change as part of this update. Going forward we have a lot of exciting ambitions to greatly improve the overall Vuelio experience, and these changes represent a first, major step on that journey. As we have done with this project we'll be looking for opportunities to get our users involved wherever possible on any new developments we're working on.

If you have any questions, feedback or if you're reading this without having been given an upgrade date and want to be at the front of the queue, get in touch with your account manager and we'll be more than happy to help.
