Whether you need to locate a specific contact quickly or build a new media list within a target sector, Vuelio provides search and filtering tools to streamline the process.

Quick Search

If you already know the contact's name:

Use the Quick Search bar located in the top navigation bar to jump directly to their profile.

Search by Keyword

1. Click the Vuelio menu in the top-left corner and navigate to the Contacts module.

2. Locate the Search Profiles box on the left-hand panel

3. Enter one or more keywords to scan contact profiles.

Note: Entering multiple keywords uses OR logic; search results on the right display contacts matching any of the specified terms.

4. To filter by media coverage content rather than profile keywords, use the Search Recent Coverage Filter on the left panel (see the Recent Article Search guide).

Refining Results with Core Filters

Refine your search results using the filter panel on the left. Results on the right update automatically as you apply filters:

Topic Filter

Expand & Navigate: Expand the Topic filter and type keywords into the search box, or click the blue arrow to expand topics into more granular sub-categories.
Select Topics: Click the + icon next to a topic to add it to your search.
Logic: Selecting multiple topics returns contacts assigned to any of the chosen topics.

Media Type Filter

Hierarchy: Select from different hierarchical levels of media (e.g., Print, Broadcast, Digital).
Multi-Select: Select multiple media types to view contacts assigned to any selected type while respecting other active filters.

Position Filter

Target Job Titles: Enter specific job titles or keywords in the Position field.
Multi-Select: Press Enter after typing each keyword to add multiple position filters. Results display contacts whose job titles contain any of the specified terms.

Target Area Filter

Use the Target Area Filter to narrow down contacts by geographic reach or region. For a detailed walkthrough, see the Target Area Filter Guide.

Advanced Filters ('Show More')

Expand the Show More section to access additional targeting options:

Audience Type

Filter outlets based on target readership or viewership (e.g., Trade vs. Consumer).

Focus

Filter media outlets by coverage scope (e.g., National vs. Regional).

The results on the right-hand side update as you add more filters.

Country Filter

Narrows results by country. Note: Best utilised if your Vuelio package includes access to Global Database.

Saving Contacts to a Group

Once your search results are refined:

Select individual contacts using the checkboxes next to their names, or check the box at the top of the table to select all displayed contacts.
Click Save to create a new group or add the contacts to an existing group.
Access saved groups anytime from the Groups module.

Once you're happy with your selections, you can add contacts to a group by checking the box next to the chosen contacts, or selecting the checkbox at the top to select all, then click 'Save'.
