For an overview of what the Canvas is and how to navigate, please see this instructional.

Once you have seen the instructional video in the link above, you are now ready to start adding your own content / tiles to the "wall".

Firstly navigate to your canvas by either of the two options below

If you have the Canvas module, it has most likely been set as your Home screen, just click the Home option at the top of the platform:

OR

Click through to the Module:

There are 5 different types of tiles available to add different kinds of content:

NOTE: All tiles have a Title character limit of 100.

Quote

Quote tiles are used to insert a small tile with a quote. This can include or exclude the name of the author. Click "New Tile", select "Quote" from the dropdown options:

This window should be quite explanatory, but we'll break it down anyway. Asterix means you NEED to complete the field:

1 - Quote Author: This is the name of person the quote came from.

2 - Show Quotee: As the title suggests, this allows the tile to show the name of the Author.
โ€‹3 - Max Height (px): To set it automatically to the height of the content leave the default as 0. Otherwise you can control the height of the tile by setting a height, which must be a minimum of 50px.
4 - Slug: The custom part of the tiles' URL.
5 - Colour Tag: See THIS guide.

6 - Quote: This is the actual quote, so you can copy and paste into here and use this box like WORD. ย

External Source

External source allows you to input a tile based on content from a website. This includes Twitter and other social networks, webpages, youtube and other video hosting sites etc.

Click "New Tile", select "External Source" from the dropdown options:

1 - Title: The name of the tile.

2 - Show Title: As the title suggests, this allows the tile to show the title.
3 - Max Height (px): To set it automatically to the height of the content leave the default as 0. Otherwise you can control the height of the tile by setting a height, which must be a minimum of 50px.
4 - Slug: The custom part of the tiles' URL.
5 - Colour Tag: See THIS guide.

6 - Source URL: Paste in the url of your content. If a website, this will populate your tile with the URL's thumbnail image, page title and description automatically. If you added a Youtube video, this will actually play ON the Canvas!

Manual Input

This tile type allows manual creation of a tile. This allows to manually input an image and text. This is a good feature if you wish to add a piece of coverage to your Canvas.

Please remember, you must have rights and necessary licences if you are sharing this content.

Click "New Tile", select "Manual Input" from the dropdown options:

1 - Feature Image: Add the image, which appears at the top of the tile, click the blank image and the Asset Library will open. To add to this and use image, check out THIS guide.

2 - Title: As the title suggests, this is the title.

3 - Show Title: As the title suggests, this allows the tile to show the title.

4 - Max Height (px): To set it automatically to the height of the content leave the default as 0. Otherwise you can control the height of the tile by setting a height, which must be a minimum of 50px.
5 - Slug: The custom part of the tiles' URL.
6 - Colour Tag: See THIS guide.

7 - Insert Asset: Again this uses the Asset Library and you can add an additional file for readers to see. Again, check out THIS guide for the Asset Library.

8 - Content: Copy and paste from WORD or free type and use the icons like WORD.

9 - Show Html - When Html is enabled this will show all coding on the main wall. We advised to leave this switched off.

Statistics

This tile type allows you to create graphs and charts to display your results. There are two options available. Click "New Tile", select "Statistics" from the dropdown options:

1 - Title name: As the title suggests, this is the title.

6 - Chart Type: This gives you three options >

Highlights:

With highlights this provides a simplified written list of results of whatever you populate this area with >

Graph & Pie Chart:

This is a simple Bar graph and Pie Chart, essentially the same way to complete the table as the above, but with less options >

Please note, you are unable to change the colours of the Bar & Pie Charts. Hover over the segments / bars and you will see the numbers and labels.

Gallery

The gallery option is to literally add an image to your Canvas.

Click "New Tile", select "Gallery" from the dropdown options:
โ€‹

1 - Title name: As the title suggests, this is the title.

6 - Image: This Allows you to add an image, just click the blank picture and this will open up your asset library >

Select an image or drag a new one from your computers folders into the lower area. You will then need to accept the addition of this image by clicking the tick icon >
