Tags and Tag Groups are especially important when reporting on SOV or finding those key Subject / Topic area's that your organisation are involved with.
The tagging chart by default shows ALL tags which have been located in articles.
If we start by searching our coverage for mentions of an organisation, using the Tag dropdown in the Advanced Search >
This tag would therefore be present on the chart. However, other tags you are tracking will also appear on the chart. Select all coverage and click Analytics as usual in the Features row of buttons >
The chart will then show all the tags which are present on those articles which have the initially searched Tag attached >
The percentage, is just relating to the percentage of the tags which are used. Therefore out of 100%, our Tag for the company name will always come out on top.
To make this chart more user friendly and to provide more of a breakdown of your coverage, you can click the name of the chart. This will then open up in a new browser tab and will allow you to choose tags from a specific Group or individual tags.
In the image below, I selected the group of Tags (Tag Groups here are called "Tag Types") called "Competitors" and clicked "Update Search". This will remove all other tags from the chart and concentrate on the Tags I have selected >
From this chart, the insight we now have is that, across the 3,840 articles which mention Garmin, those articles also mention:
โ
Oppo 51 times where Garmin is mentioned
Huawei 413 times where Garmin in mentioned
etc.
As long as you have Tags present in your platform this chart will help you to find SOV of anything mentioned in articles. So another good usecase for the above, would be to find all articles mentioning your company, and then cross checking Product names, potentially seeing which products are talked about the most in any given date range.
