The Vuelio Distributions module allows you to create customised HTML press releases and publish to your website using an XML feed.

This is an expanded article for Web Publish distribution. Learn how to create and send a press release email here.

Note: An XML feed will be setup and provided by Vuelio for you to integrate with your website.

To create an email, first navigate to the Distributions module and click '+Release'.

You will see the information for input spans across two Tabs:

CONTENT - This tab holds all wordage to be input into your press release.

DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS - Select 'Web Publish' and follow steps below.

Within Distribution Channels:

  1. Select Web Publish, then hit the Save button:
(ignore the function called ‘Headline News’, this is no longer used).

  2. Click the Save button you’ll see an option to ‘Publish to the Web’ (as shown below). Click this and the Release will be processed and appear in the XML feed ready for your website to pick it up.

  3. Once a Release has been published, you can go back into it and change the Distribution Channel option to Email – from here you can continue to send the same Release out via Email as well (you can do this in either order, Email first then Publish or Publish first then Email).

  4. Once published, you should see a green icon in the Status column confirming the release was published (shown below)

  5. To Unpublish a Release, simply go back into Distribution Channels and select the option ‘Mark as Deleted’. This will mark the RSS item as is Deleted within the RSS feed. Clients should configure their websites to take note of this flag and to remove the post from their site if it is flagged as deleted in the RSS feed. The Release will stay listed in the Distributions module but with an Amber web publish icon meaning ‘unpublished’.
