Tag Groups and Tags allow you to create bespoke reports & alerts concentrating on the content important to you.

These will automatically allow the Vuelio platform to identify content which mentions these sets of keywords.

Please Note: Newly created Tags will not automatically apply retrospectively to previously received coverage. Auto tagging will commence from the date the Tag is created.

Creating New Tags

Firstly, navigate to Political Monitoring >

Next, click Tags on the top right hand side of the screen >

Once selected, you will see all the currently created Tags on the right hand side. This will tell you if the Tag is active and there will be options to Copy, Edit or Delete.

To create a new Tag, click 'Create Tag' on the top right hand side >

Here's how to fill in the fields on this page >

Tag Name - This is the name of your Tag, which will show in Content and Charts.

Tag Group - Use the dropdown to select a premade Group, or click 'New Group' to create a new one. Just type the name of the New Group and click Create.

Enabled - Make sure this box is ticked to make it live.

Set Colour for chart (optional) - As stated, this allows the Tag to be a certain colour in the charts.

Automated Tagging

Saved Searches - Click the toggle switch and select a premade saved search. This will enable the Tag to be added to results within this/these selected search(es). Click HERE for a guide on creating Saved Searches.

Search Terms - For automated Tags, completing this box with Boolean identifies the content within the saved search to be tagged.

Click 'Save' once you're done and this will enable the Tag to be used.

Please Note: Newly created Tags will not automatically apply retrospectively to previously received coverage. Auto tagging will commence from the date the Tag is created.

Adding Tags Retrospectively

You may also be reading this guide as you just added new tags into your platform and you wish to tag everything that has come in historically. Therefore you need to locate the content and Tag it all manually.

Once you have located the content you wish to add Tags to (Click this guide for searching), select them with the checkboxes, then select the 'Update' button along the top of the page >

This will then allow you to choose the Tag(s) you wish to be added to the content selected. Click 'Update' once done. Removing Tags from content is the same, but you are selecting the Tags to be removed instead.

Tag Groups

A Tag Group is essentially a folder made up of Tags. Therefore you may have several Tag Groups and lots of Tags within these. You can also filter and create charts using Tags and Tag Groups.

You have the ability in the platform to create and manage your own Tag Groups.

Creating Tag Groups

There are a couple of ways of creating new Tag Groups:

  1. Click Tags on the top right of the Political Monitoring page >

Next, select "Create Tag Group" on the top right, type in the name for your new group, and select "Create & Save">

Your Tag Group is now available to add new Tags to.

  2. Click Tags on the top right of the main page >

Next you can click 'Create Tag' on the top right >

While creating the new Tag as per the guide above, you can select New Group; type the name of the new Tag Group, then click Create >

Editing Tag Groups

Editing Tag Groups allows you to change the names of the Tag Groups, or change the order they appear in the filters:

Firstly select Tags on the top right of Political Monitoring >

Over on the right of the Tag Group, you will see 3 dots. Click this and you will be presented with the 3 available options >

Copy Tag Group - This will create a duplicate of the current Tag Group, you will be given the opportunity to rename the new one if you wish.

Edit Tag Group - Allows you to re-name the Tag Group.

Delete Tag Group - Deletes the Tag Group.

Creating/Editing Alerts

Alerts are a great way of keeping informed of the content important to you, on an hourly, daily or weekly basis.

Alerts utilise keywords or Saved Searches, or you can contact your political researcher to create these for you.

Firstly click 'Alerts' on the top right side of the Political Monitoring module >

You will then see all the previously created alerts. You can click the Pencil icon next to the alert you wish to Edit.

For now just click 'Create Alert' on the top right >

Here you will complete the Alert options in three steps >

Details

  • Email Subject - This is the name of your alert and the subject line of the email which is delivered.

  • Schedule - Allows you to select the frequency and specific dates you wish to receive the alert. Click Add + to select specific times.

  • Saved Searches - This is where you can select your saved searches which the alert feeds the coverage from. Therefore any coverage matching the each criteria of the alert will be delivered.

  • Recipients - Select the Vuelio users who need to receive the alert. Or free-type an email address and select it to add ad-hoc recipients.

As you make selections, you will see these itemised on the right hand side.

Click 'Next' on the bottom right of the page to proceed with the next page of specifics.

Format Options

You will now see three tabs >

Template - Will allow you to select certain layouts for the alert being created, they differ slightly, so please see the images below for details. You company logo can also be added at the very top. >

Default:

Basic:

Political:

Content - Allows you to add certain data/information to the alert >

NOTE: If you have added Notes to your articles these will override the Snippets in your alerts emails.

Customisation - Allows you to add your brand colours and logos (you will need the URL of your logo) to the alert >

With the Logo, all you need is a URL of the Logo you wish to use, by default this is placed on the top right of the alert.

Each piece of detail in the alert can be amended with it's own colour, using HEX, RGB or by selecting manually a colour using the spectrum. You can see how an edited version can look in images above.

Further down the page, Custom Grouping allows you to add sorting to the alert, so you can for example add a grouping by the Tags you have enabled. In the example below, I clicked Add and selected Tags.:

Click 'Next' to continue to the last page, where you can save and start receiving your alert.

Status

Here, you can send yourself an example of the alert, by clicking 'Send Yourself Copy', and/or Activate the alert, by selecting 'Start Sending'.

Remember to click 'Save' on the bottom right hand side, and your alert is created!
