This new module will be gradually enabled for existing online media monitoring users. The monitoring licence your organisation holds may also restrict access to this content.
Introduction
We're excited to launch our Historical News Archive and Analytics Panel!
This is a great feature allowing you to further discover journalists and online news content by looking up specific keyword mentions. The news archive will also enable you to search for relevant topics/brands/people and help with your analysis & benchmarking.
This new module will allow users to:
Search over 100 million online news articles, spanning across local, national and international publications
Access 1-year of historical news content
Filter and segment your data by author, publication and different geographies
Export and download content into a CSV file
Searching articles
A keyword search allows you to track your online presence, your brand, or specific article subjects that matters using a set of keywords or phrases. We support the following conjunctions:
"Any" Keywords will find articles that match at least one of these words or phrases.
"All" keywords will find articles that must contain every word or phrase specified
"Exclude" keywords will find articles that do not contain these words or phrases.
"Search: Headline & Body" allows you to specify whether these keywords must appear in the Headline, Body or both areas of the article.
More filters can help you limit your results further as required:
Published Date - This is the date/time when the article was posted online. If no dates are specified, the default search is the last 30 days.
Country - The location of the outlet/website where the article was posted. We have content available globally (providing English-language only) so this can be used to find international content.
Focus - Limit results based on the distribution area or scope of the website, e.g. Local vs International.
Outlet Name - The website/publication name where the article is posted
Rank - Outlets are ranked between 1 to 4:
Rank 1 - Top international, national, and business news sources.
Rank 2 - Top regional sources.
Rank 3 - Broad range of news sources of good editorial quality.
Rank 4 - Broad range of news sources, newswire sources and sources with a local focus.
Stream Type - Allows filtering between online and print articles (when made available in future)
