This update includes multiple new features focused around Outlet circulation to make it easier to find and compare results within our Media Database.

Circulation is used to quantify how many people are potentially exposed to content from a particular publication, within a specific period of time.

This varies a little for each media type, as noted below:

It's now possible to add and manage private Outlets within the new Media Database!

New Outlets can be created that are entirely private to your organisations Vuelio account and won't be shared with anyone else - just your colleagues. They can still be used in exactly the same way as public records on the Database.

Note: Private Contacts & Outlets are not maintained by the Vuelio research team.

Although it has already been possible to create private contacts, we understand how important it is for users to be able to manage all of their private records within the same module and with the same user experience.

From the Outlet screen, click the new 'Add Outlet' button at the top of the page:

This will direct you to the following form, where you can start populating the details for your Outlet:

Mandatory fields are marked with as asterisk * and a warning will appear if these are empty when you attempt to save.

Topics - The subject matter or industry that corresponds to the Outlet.

Address - The full street address, including Country + Region.

Phone - Landlines (including country code or extension), Mobile or Fax numbers.

Email - Email addresses (this is used when sending Distributions from Vuelio)

Social Media - One of each main social profiles can be added and hyperlinked via the profile

Website - URLs will be hyperlinked from the profile

Language - Operating or publishing language

Once added, private Outlets can be found easily from the search via the following toggle filter:

To edit an Outlet, click into the profile, then select 'Edit Outlet' from the Actions menu in the top-right. This allows you to go back and change any fields from before.

New Circulation filters have been added to the Outlet search to help users refine their results to the most relevant or widely distributed publications on the database.

Note: Contact search will receive these filters in a follow-up update.

This will provide an additional way to determine relevance and compare search results (in addition to the Vuelio Score), or simply exclude less popular Outlets.

To use these filters, select the new 'Outlet Circulation' filter from the list:

This will expand into provide 3 separate filters for each Media Type. Selecting a value for any option, e.g. Print, will return all print Outlets that have a circulation greater than or equal to 60,000 (as shown below):

The filter will be applied immediately and the search results will update accordingly:

Applying multiple Circulation filters at the same time will treat these as an 'OR' search. For example, show me all Outlets with a print circulation of 60,000 OR an online circulation of 200,000.

We've also added 3 new sort options, which will rank your search results by circulation from highest to lowest for the respective media type.

To change sorting - select the menu in the top-right of the page, and choose one of these new options for circulation. 'Relevance' will remain the default option.

We want to display more useful data points to the results table based on user feedback and requests, however adding multiple new columns risks cluttering the interface and some data may only be relevant to some users and not others.

If you do sort by Circulation, we will now display the Outlet's circulation data (if known) directly on the results under the names:

We have taken the opportunity to improve the form previously used for creating private Contacts. This matches the new private Outlet version above - except with different fields.

The design incorporates recent styling changes made to the Media Database and is intended to improve the visuals and overall user experience.

We have shifted to a two-column layout to increase the amount of fields available on the screen to reduce scrolling - especially when multiple sections are expanded - and make it easier to enter information.

The new design also allows us to separate and highlight important or mandatory fields on the left, whilst grouping additional extras on the right.

The 'Vuelio Score' filter has been updated with fresh styling introduced with the new circulation 'sliding' filters.

We have removed the 'Less Than' vs 'Greater Than' options and made it always return results with 'Greater Than or Equal To' scores to make this filter simpler to use based on it's usage.
