If you have received a piece of coverage which has not been picked up by Vuelio, your first step is to contact [email protected] and find out why this happened. It could be the publication is not currently on our reading list (in this case we can add it quite easily), or the keyword sets we are using excluded the article for some reason (this will be investigated).

In a similar way, coverage can be removed from your account too, read below to find out how.

How to Add Coverage to your monitoring account

Whatever the reason, you can add the coverage manually so you can run your reports and include the metrics of the missed article.

Firstly, select the Quick Add button in the Vuelio Toolbar, then click Monitoring >

From here it's a case of entering as many details as you can about the clip.

Most of these are self explanatory. On the left side of the screen >

  1. The headline of the article.

  2. When the article was published/created.

  3. This will allow you to search for the name of the outlet, and link it with the one in the Database (start typing then select the relevant outlet).

  4. This will allow you to link the article to the Journalist/Influencer from our Database (start typing then select the relevant contact).

  5. If an online article, copy and paste the URL link here.

  6. Select the relevant Media Type, from Print, Online & Broadcast.

  7. Select the relevant tone/emotional response for the article. This could be based on the article as a whole or just how it talks about your company/client. This is up to you.

  8. Leave this blank.

  9. Add in the text of the article, this way the words within the article will be searchable from the main Monitoring platform.

Next, on the right side of the page >

  1. The name of the user this article is allocated to/created the article.

  2. Some organisations will have separate teams in your Vuelio account, e.g. PR, Marketing.

  3. Different categories can be set up by [email protected]. It's another way of managing who see's what sets of coverage.

  4. If you have Tag/Tag Groups set up in your account, from here you can select them so the articles attribute to relevant charts.

  5. Any notes regarding the article can be added here and viewed by all users of your organisation.

  6. If you have calculated the AVE (Advertising Value Equivalent) you may add that here.

  7. Any notes regarding the analysis of this article may go here.

Always remember to click SAVE on the top right, once you have added all information.

Your article will now be viewable via the main Monitoring search and will be included in all reporting charts.

How to remove coverage from your monitoring account

Sometimes, coverage may not be required or totally irrelevant. In this case you may delete it, but be warned, once deleted this may be difficult to re-obtain. If something received is irrelevant, it's a good idea to contact [email protected] to advise the same FIRST. This way we can amend your keywords so these types of coverage no longer come through.

Then, if you wish to delete the coverage yourself you may do so via the following:

Once you've located the coverage you wish to delete, select them with the Checkboxes (These will sit in your briefcase as usual) >

Once selected use the Exclude From List option. This will ask you to confirm the deletion too, so you have a failsafe >

Remember! Once deleted, this coverage will be removed from your account, it will not show up on any searches or any reports. So please make sure you definitely need to delete the articles first!
