The Political Monitoring module contains all intelligence sent to you via your regular alerts but also includes our entire archive of political content regardless of search parameters, giving you full access to a rich library of previous political activity for ad-hoc searching and reporting.

In order to view Political content, firstly navigate to the module:

We'll go through all the options in detail:

Search Bar - Drill down to content containing specific keyword mentions using Boolean. If you need assistance with Boolean click HERE. If you use any of the filters from the following slides, these can be used in conjunction with keywords you enter in the search bar.

Filters - There are many to choose from, however the most likely to be used are the following:

  • Published – Choose the date range for when the content was created.

  • Stream – Type the name of the specific stream you require to include.

  • Political Segment - Multi-select from numerous sets of news sources.

Utilise ready-made saved searches - On the right of the main screen, these saved searches are created by our research team and are pertinent to your requirements.

We have essentially selected the filters of your search so you don’t have to. Select a Saved Search from the list and click Search to view the content.

PLEASE NOTE: It is also possible to create your own Saved Search by simply clicking Save As on the top right once you have set your own filters.

Viewing Content

Finally to view content, just click on the title:

This will then show you a summary screen which provides a summary of the content. You will have the option of clicking the URL to view the full content, as well as Emailing to colleagues and Exporting to excel.

Also from here you will have the option (as per the above image) to add political participants mentioned, to your Briefcase and therefore create a Group.
