What are unsubscribed Contacts & Outlets?

Email communications you send from Vuelio will automatically include links to allow the recipient to opt-out or 'unsubscribe' from further emails.

Under GDPR and similar data protection regulations, email recipients who unsubscribe cannot be re-subscribed without their explicit and voluntary consent.

Contacts and Outlets that have chosen to unsubscribe will remain within your system and any Groups they belong to, but any new emails you try to send them from Vuelio will be automatically blocked.

Search filters and labels will allow you to quickly view records that are no longer contactable or simply exclude them from your search results.

How do I manually unsubscribe someone from my releases?

Contacts or Outlets must choose to unsubscribe themselves from your communications by clicking the link at the bottom of any emails or press releases you have sent out from Vuelio.

You can manually unsubscribe a contact by visiting their profile and selecting Actions then select 'Forget Contact' >

This will then allow you to provide details of why >

Additional Notes

  • Unsubscribed Contacts or Outlets are not removed from your Groups

  • Contacts or Outlets cannot (currently) be manually unsubscribed or re-subscribed from the new database screens

  • Private email addresses do not currently display an unsubscribe indicator. This will be added in a future update.

  • All Contact positions will be marked as unsubscribed, even if they work at different Outlets with different email addresses.
