Requirements for bloggers are:
Your blog is more than three months old
You post on regular basis e.g. weekly
You can provide monthly unique user stats for your blog
Describe your core demographic/readership
Describe what additional coverage you provide your blog eg. through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Instagram.
Why are there extra requirements for bloggers?
The service was designed for journalists, by journalists, but some of our subscribers find requests from bloggers useful too so we do allow bloggers to send requests for content. However, you do need to provide additional information to clarify the editorial opportunity for our subscribers.
Your blog must be more than three months old and you must be posting unique content on a regular basis.
When you submit a request, select the Media Type "Blog" and you'll be guided to provide additional details about your audience and content that will help our subscribers understand if they have a story that's a good fit for you. See example below.
When you submit your first request we'll email you to confirm that you're clear that all your requests should be for editorial content only. This means that you confirm that you only use the service to produce editorial content and that you never approach any connections you make through the Journalist Enquiry Service for any payment, advertising, paid content or other commercial opportunities.
We can only help with editorial content and we may remove the right to use the service if you do approach any ResponseSource subscriber for paid opportunities as a result of their responding to your requests.
Remember that the Journalist Enquiry Service is intended for the media to build relationships with sources.
You'll build a better relationship with our subscribers if you send a mixture of requests - don't just look for products to review but bear in mind that you can source experts to interview, tips for your readers, or high-quality images and infographics that will make excellent posts and draw readers in to your blog. This will demonstrate to our subscribers that you're looking for editorial content and help you get better results in the future.
