Drowning in daily media alerts? Instead of manually reading 2,000 individual articles to understand public sentiment about a new corporate merger or product launch, Lumina reads them for you. It groups thousands of articles and social posts into easily digestible "Stories" and "Perspectives."
Where do I start?
You will be able to locate Lumina in the top right-hand corner by the spinning wheel.
Click on the wheel, and this will open a sidebar view of the Lumina Workspace. To expand Lumina to the Full window, press the "Do more with Lumina" OR Full Window buttons
Here you can see that Lumina shows you a breakdown of Stories, Perspective and Media Items.
In this example, you can see that from 15,700 Media Items, there are 325 stories with 896 perspectives. To begin breaking this down, click on the Stories button above.
Stories
This is your starting point for finding and filtering down the specific stories, topics, or news areas you are looking into. This section is split into 3 sections:
Search options
Search Bar - You can type in a Keyword or phrase into this section to filter story results.
Tags - You can select Tags to filter your stories
Date Parameters - reduce your stories down to the last 90 days
Lumina Tags - Filter your stories by selected tags (Your Tags need to be enabled for Lumina)
Results breakdown
Once your search options are in place, this will show you a live result of Total Stories, Perspectives, and Articles.
List of Story results
Here, you will then see the list of AI-generated summaries for each story.
This also shows how many Media Items are connected to this story and the number of Perspectives this story has.
To view related Perspectives, please click into the specific story you wish to explore.
Perspectives
Lumina automatically breaks the Story down into distinct viewpoints. Instead of a simple "positive/negative" rating, you'll see exact narratives.
At the top of this section is the AI-generated Story Summary.
Below is the list of Perspectives (viewpoints) of this story.
Here you will be able to see the Key Drivers behind each perspective from Spokespeople and brands through to Consumers or charities.
You can also see the percentage of the share of voice for this perspective within your story results.

Media
Once you click into the Perspective of interest this will lead you to the Media tab within Lumina. This will show all articles linked to this perpective showing the following:
Headline
Snippet
Sentiment
Media Type - (Online, Broadcast, Print etc. )
Tags
From this you can click intoeach Article Individually
Overall, Lumina helps you get to your stories of both agreeing and opposing opinions quicker. I helps you see which arguemeant has a louder voice and even narrows down to each individual article.
